Personal Health Division

The personal health services division, led by Beth Crone, RN, BSN, promotes the public's health through direct patient care, public health education, health assessments, and working with service agencies in the community.

The services of this division include monitoring the health status of Holmes County to identify and solve community health problems. Diagnosing and investigating health problems and health hazards in Holmes County. Informing, educating, and empowering Holmes County residents about health issues. Mobilizing community partnerships and action to identify and solve health problems in Holmes County. Linking people to needed personal health services and providing the service when the service is not available.

Programs

BCMH
Providing services and care coordination for children with medical handicaps
Breastfeeding Resource Center
Education, Counseling, Support and supplies (including pumps) for sale or rent to help mothers successfully breastfeed.
Communicable Disease
Investigation of infectious diseases including tuberculosis (TB) screening and testing
Community Clinic
Providing well child care, prenatal care and primary care for members of the community.
Family Planning
Providing cervical and breast cancer screening, Sexually transmitted infection screening, contraceptive counseling
Help Me Grow
Home visitation program for children ages 0-3 and their families.
Immunization Action Program
Immunization clinics onsite and at satellite locations. Vaccine education to families and physicians.
International Travel Clinic
Provide travel education, advice and vaccines to keep travelers healthy
Lead Program
Providing blood lead testing, education, and supplies to clean homes
Ohio Buckles Buckeyes
Child passenger safety training for the community and car seats for parents who meet income guidelines.
Public Health Emergency
Preparedness: Preparing the community to respond to a biological event either human made (bioterroism) or naturally occurring (epidemic)
School Health
Providing school nursing and health resources for teachers and parents.
Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
Nutritional education and supplemental food program for pregnant/breastfeeding women, their infants and children up to age 5.
